GENERAL ITRODUCTION:

Located in Abasan in the east of Khan-younis (south-east of Gaza). 80 beds hospital functioning since 1995 (40 beds for surgical department, 6 beds for ICU, 22 beds for internal medicine beds, 12 beds for gynecology&obstetrics).

The hospital has the following departments:

-Emergency department.

-Internal medicine department.

-Out patient clinics.

-Gynecology and Obstetric department.

-Laboratory department.

-X-Ray and Ultra-sound department.

-Gastro Intestinal Tract Endoscopy department.

-Pharmacy.

The total staff in Al-karama hospital by the end of 2004 are 183 employees

Statistically, there are 310.158 patients visits the hospital until the end of year 2004, there are 7916 surgical operations were done (792 surgical operations every year).

 

GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION

Located in Abasan in the east of Khan-younis (south-east of Gaza). This hospital serve more than 100,000 populations distributed on Bany-sohaila, grande Abasan, khozaa, New-abasan, in addition to all police and national security forces members with their families in all Gaza strip governorates..

 

HOSPITAL AREA

The total land area of the hospital is 2000m2, while the existing hospital building area is 2400m2 (3 floors, the area of each floor is 800m2)

 

 

SURGICAL AND CURATIVE MEDICAL SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE HOSPITAL

The hospital functioning actually with 40 surgical beds in addition to 22 internal medicine beds (not functioning), 12 gynecology&obstetric beds and 6 ICU beds, the different out-patients clinics and paramedical facilities.

Statistically, there are 89765 patients visits the hospital during year 2004, there are 697 surgical operations were done (406 major operations,200 intermediate operations and 91 minor operations), and 471 delivery cases.
